Driving? Taylor Swift.
Laundry? Kendrick Lamar.
Writing? Final Fantasy X Soundtrack.
I think you get the idea. So I make sure to create my main characters (and let’s be honest, some of my minor ones too) their own custom playlist during the brainstorming process. It helps me see them better as a character and has become one of my favorite writing activities. And what kind of author would I be if I didn’t share them!
